Sherlock Holmes est la série d'animation du chef-d'œuvre réalisé par Hayao Miyazaki et coproduit par TMS Entertainment et RAI, qui a été diffusée pour la première fois en 1984. La série a connu un immense succès et reste à ce jour un classique très apprécié dans le monde de l'animation japonaise.

Pour célébrer le récent 40ème anniversaire de la série, nous avons le plaisir de proposer cette sublime édition CD avec ses 2 disques regroupant les bandes originales de la série télévisée et du film d'animation (Le rubis bleu & Le trésor de la mer), complétée par un livret de 8 pages, illustré.

La bande originale de la série animée a été composée par Kentarô Haneda (bien connu pour son travail sur la série Space Adventure Cobra et tant d’autres) et inclus les deux chansons phare interprétées par Da Capo. La bande originale du film d’animation est l'œuvre de Kunio Muramatsu, et comprend également deux chansons interprétées par Haruko Kuwana.
